EVENTS
Senior Community Days
Each monthly event begins with a Bible Study with Canon Precentor Mark Stanger, followed by a presentation from a guest speaker. At 12:10 pm, we gather for Holy Eucharist in the Chapel of Grace and then return to the Dining Room for a catered luncheon. Each event concludes with a film and discussion. Trained medical professionals are available throughout the event to assist with basic health assessment and referral.
Senior Health Days
Senior Health Days arm seniors with tools they need to address health issues. We approach this time from a holistic perspective, tending to our spirits and minds, as well as our bodies. We encourage everyone to participate in Morning Prayer at 9:00 in the Chapel of the Nativity. Our event formally begins at 9:45 am. Every health day includes breakfast, gentle exercise, a guest speaker, and an hour of group spiritual direction.
Senior Retreat at The Bishops Ranch 2009
Twice a year we take our seniors to The Bishop’s Ranch in Healdsburg for a spiritual retreat. Our Senior Retreats are filled with interesting themes such as: "Exploring Life, Loss, Grief and Grace"; "Exploring Quiet Prayer"; "Simply Being with God; and “New Beginnings in Daily Life".
In addition to the beautiful scenery at The Bishop’s Ranch, our seniors enjoy a program that includes prayer, arts and crafts, social hour, Holy Eucharist, meditation, music, pastoral appointments and walks on the labyrinth. Following are photos from our last retreat.
